Thousand Islands Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends
Policy for in-person worship - August 29, 2021
The purpose of this policy is to allow for the best possible spiritual condition of the Meeting while protecting the physical health of participants and meeting our obligations under public health regulations.
The Meeting will subject itself to all public health regulations.
As per the expectations of both KFL and A Public Health and the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship, masks will be required and we will practice physical distancing at a minimum of 6ft between participants from different households. Meeting will take place in the larger basement room to allow for proper distancing.
In-person attendance records will be kept for the purpose of contact tracing as required by the Public Health Unit.
Unless a person has a medical exemption from vaccination, double vaccination will be required to attend in-person worship.
Friends are expected to stay home if they are ill. The clerk will make the most up-to-date screening tool available for people to review prior to entering the Meeting room.
Meeting will be offered in a hybrid of simultaneous on-line and in-person worship to accommodate the various needs of participants.
The Clerk or designate will monitor public health information and inform the Meeting in a timely manner if in-person worship is prohibited for a period of time or if updated guidelines make different requirements of us.
A schedule will be established for (f)Friends to assist with sanitizing and sanitization of the Meeting Room.
The Clerk or designate will be responsible for the technical set-up required for on-line participation.
We will not be serving refreshments for the time being.
